Product developers, working on new and complex
wireless standards such as ZigBee®, face several difficulties
and challenges. WiSens® simplifies their task with its powerful
yet simple GUI, practically abstracting the complexity of
ZigBee®. This simplicity user to capture, monitor, analyze
the over-the-air ZigBee® packets and debug the system, with
precision, ease and speed.
The
decoding and rendering of the captured packets in a descriptive
and colorful graphical format on the PC screen allows the
user to easily understand the nature of communication in the
ZigBee® system under study. Selective field-wise viewing of
various packets, filtering options, identification of the
nodes by user-applied labeling, "Node-packet graph"
snapshot view, viewing the packets in different modes - descriptive
WiSens® Classic/raw data display modes, color and black-white-and-Grey
printing formats and configuration are some of the smart power-features
offered by WiSens® Classic.
WiSens® Classic captures all conversations
between devices in a network, communicating in a specified
channel, just as you would capture a chat session with a friend.
The sentences give way to packets, graphically displayed -
and you see the conversation! The packets are captured, displayed
and stored sequentially, and can be traced to who spoke what
at what time. If there is a glitch, you see it in vivid detail
on the screen, making it is easy to diagnose and fix a problem.

The sniffer captures wireless communication
packets transmitted between devices conforming to IEEE 802.15.4
and ZigBee® specifications. The display format of the packets
conforms to these specifications.

The product comprises hardware and software
components. The hardware consists of a radio transceiver with
microcontroller as main components. The entire hardware resides
in a USB drive, compactly packaged. The PC or laptop resident
software along with documentation is delivered in a CD along
with the hardware.
